Spring Poem
Life brought me back to Korea after almost six years.
I am going to stay here for four months–I think I have found an island to rest at least for a short while.
Finally, I can think about poetry.
Before anything, I want to write back to my poet friends who have been sending me their love in words.
In my usual sleepless early morning, this poem came to me.
It’s the first since last summer.
I want to send spring to my friends in Minneapolis.
Green dots no where to be found,
Yet branches in white not so cold.
Tee-hee~ five winged angels.
초록 점 하나 없는데
가지에 하얀 눈이 차갑지가 않구나.
다섯 날개 정령들의 웃음소리.
