I AM FREE TO FAIL!!!

I rarely post personal stuff on this blog but today I am going to make an exception. After hearing a decision–one that starts with “We are sorry…”– from the last school of the four I was waiting from (I applied to four MFA programs), my family and I went to Venice Beach to process this.

Salty air stuck on cheeks

Surfers slide down, skaters crushing to cement

Surrendering hurts, new found freedom hits
